The Market Project Manager is responsible for coordinating, planning and executing Marketing projects such as promotions, events, product launches, packaging and brand/image advertising. This position will provide fresh ideas and develop effective and efficient marketing plans to meet defined objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversight of the Marketing project process to ensure manageable workflow and schedules
Build and maintain internal relationships and communication to ensure trust is established and maintained between Marketing and other departments; Deliver excellent service to internal customers
Identify and execute marketing efforts to meet business goals and increase sales
Manage complex marketing projects and promotions, including, but not limited to large projects and campaigns, new concept packaging requests and product launch promotions from initiation to closure
Collaborate with Marketing team to develop marketing plans and campaign tactics
Communicate project goals and schedules to project stakeholders
Collaborate with Advertising Production Manager and Marketing team to develop creative concepts
Oversight of the full set of projects, evaluating and resolving conflicts and interdependencies between projects
Facilitate regular meetings with key stakeholders to communicate work in progress or upcoming projects and to provide an update on existing projects and priorities
Lead, own and follow project process as well as making recommendations regarding process improvements
Lead weekly discussions with Marketing management team to determine job-level priority assignments
Work with Advertising Production Manager to decide which parts of project would be considered for outsourcing
Manage job tracking software, provide recommendations for enhancements; co-own training for new software & users
Performs other duties as requested or required by management
Key Requirements:
2 – 4 years Project Management experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, with at least three years of progressively responsible experience
Previous experience in an advertising agency is a plus
Knowledge of commercial printing is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Must be very detail oriented and have a high focus on quality control
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, delegate and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written
Must be results and action oriented and capable of influencing others to help get results
Understands the components of Return on Investment
Ability to plan and organize multiple projects with shifting priorities and ambiguous direction
Ability to think creatively and strategically to solve problems and meet business objectives
Excellent process management skills
Occasional travel may be required
Ability to function as a team but able to work with little or no supervision
Proven ability to develop marketing efforts that deliver results
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
